This week Rob played “The Dubbed TV Show Challenge”. I played Rob a clip of a beloved American tv show dubbed into another language and Rob tried to guess which show it was from a master list of shows. Here is the list so you can play at home: “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, “Saved by the Bell”, “Knight Rider”, “Sex and the City”, “Alf”, “LA Law”, “The Facts of Life”, “The Love Boat”, “Dallas”, “The Cosby Show”, “Baywatch”, “Cheers”, “Laverne & Shirley”, and “Married with Children.” On the podcast I called it “The Dubbed Sitcom Challenge”, but not all the shows were sitcoms, so I mispoke. Rob did surprising well getting more answers correct than I would have predicted. After the “Dubbed Sitcom Challenge” I talked a little about my upcoming trip to France and my plan to do stand-up in French, a language I’ve been studying for several years in my free time, of which I have too much. Why do I want to do stand-up in French? Well, why not? I’ll be the first American comic to do it, as far as I know. Of course we ended the podcast with our weekly news roundup which included a discussion of the passing of Robert Byrd.
